BATI School provides free, high-quality education to children in rural southwest Haiti, supported by a sustainable farm.

Our Story

Haitian-American siblings Rubens Amedee and Freddie Amedee-Benjamin founded BATI School after joining earthquake relief efforts in 2010. Over the next five years, they brought that vision to life in their family's hometown of Miragoane.

Education rooted in community

Through the "parents' pledge," families contribute time and service to the school and local community, sharing in their children's education.

The farm helps fund free education and supports local food security. Students learn agricultural skills, while the school creates jobs in the community.
